Privacy and terms
Four forms on this site collect personal data. This page says exactly what happens to it, in the order it happens, without the parts that usually get buried.
If you use the matching service
You give us your name, work email, company website and a description of what you are trying to build, along with your budget range, industry and timeline.
Our server also records your IP address and browser user agent when you submit, which we use to block automated abuse of the form and for nothing else. Neither is sent to any agency. We mention it because a privacy notice that lists only the fields you can see is not an accurate one.
We send those details to the agencies we match you with. That is the entire purpose of the form and it is the part worth reading twice. We do not send them to a wider network, we do not sell them, and we do not pass them to anyone you have not been matched with. A person reads every submission before anything is forwarded, so the number of agencies who see your details is normally two or three and never more than five. Introductions go to listed agencies that take part in our matching program; taking part has no effect on how any agency is ranked.
The agencies we introduce you to are independent companies. Once your details reach them, their own privacy policy governs what they do with them, and we have no control over it.
If you submit an agency
You give us your name, email, and information about the agency. We use it to review the agency and to contact you about the listing. We do not use it for marketing and we do not add you to a mailing list.
The same applies here: your IP address and user agent are recorded to block form abuse, and used for nothing else.
Submitting an agency is not a guarantee of a listing, and we write our own descriptions and assessments rather than publishing what you send us. That includes writing at least one drawback for every listing.
If you use the Lead Exchange
As a sharer you give us your name, work email, agency name and website, and a description of a buyer's need. You do not give us the buyer's name or contact details, and the form rejects a brief that contains any. We store the description, offer it to admitted agencies, and keep the record of what was shared, accepted and reported, and the reliability ratings executors give your leads, so both sides can see the same ledger.
We are not copied on the introduction and never see the buyer's contact details. The buyer's details move from sharer to executor by the sharer's own email, under whatever basis the sharer already holds for them. When an executor reports a contract, the buyer's company name is recorded for that ledger and for nothing else.
As an executor applicant you give us your listing, contact details, a page on your site, the categories, timezones and languages you serve, your capacity, and your client references. We contact each reference once, for the call you told them to expect, and delete their details after the decision.
If an agency shared your project, a description of what you need, without your name or contact details, may be held by us and shown to up to three admitted agencies at a time. Your details reach an agency only through the person you already dealt with. Once you sign with an agency, your company name is recorded so the two agencies can settle their referral commission. Write to us and we will tell you what we hold.
On the share and application forms, your IP address and user agent are recorded to block form abuse, and used for nothing else.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not run advertising or tracking pixels. We do not use third-party analytics that identify you as an individual: the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors. There are no marketing cookies on this site, which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent banner.
How long we keep it
Matching enquiries are kept for two years so we can tell whether an introduction worked, then deleted. Agency submissions are kept while the agency is listed, and for one year afterwards. Shared leads and the exchange ledger are kept for twelve months after the last commission report on the lead, or for twelve months after the introduction, or after sharing when no introduction was made. Executor applications are kept while the executor is admitted and for one year afterwards; declined applications for one year.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and we will do it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within thirty days. You do not need to give a reason, and asking costs you nothing.
If you are in the UK or EU, our lawful basis for handling matching enquiries is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, though we cannot recall details already sent to an agency you were introduced to. Sharers and executors take part as businesses, and our basis for handling their details is our legitimate interest in running the service they signed up for.
Terms of use
The rankings, descriptions and assessments on this site are our opinion, formed from public sources and set out on the methodology page. They are not advice about who you should hire, and we are not paid by any listed agency.
We take care to be accurate and we correct errors quickly, but we cannot guarantee that a third-party rating, price or credential is still current at the moment you read it. Each rating shows the date we retrieved it. Verify anything that matters before you sign a contract.
We are not a party to any agreement you reach with an agency, and we are not responsible for the work they do. If an introduction goes badly we would genuinely like to know, because it tells us something our review missed.
If a listing about your agency is wrong, write to us and we will check it. We correct factual errors on any listing, including our own assessments where the evidence supports it.
