About SalesCaptain
SalesCaptain runs outbound demand generation: lead sourcing and enrichment, buying signal tracking, AI personalization, CRM sync and email campaign execution, built on Clay and sent on the client's behalf. It states it sends roughly 1.2 million emails a month for clients, and names Elastic, Optimizely, Zendesk, Samsung, Adobe Commerce and BigCommerce as customers.
It also publishes something rarer than any of that: buyer guidance telling prospects to ask who controls the Clay workspace. That is the question this category is least comfortable with, and raising it counts in SalesCaptain's favor even though its own answer is that the agency does the sending. Its Clutch profile shows 4.7 from 22 reviews. Its own site claims Clay Enterprise Partner and number one Enterprise Clay Partner status, while Clay's directory lists it at Advanced Artisan, the lowest of the three tiers shown.

Our verdict
SalesCaptain is a run-it-for-you outbound shop with a real independent review record, which in this category is not the norm. Twenty two Clutch reviews at 4.7 is the third largest base here, the client logos are enterprise, and the sending volume claim is specific enough to test. What a buyer does not get by default is a system they keep, and the agency's own buyer guidance concedes as much by telling prospects to ask who controls the Clay workspace; that question should be answered in writing before signing. The partner claim is the other thing to raise. The site describes the firm as a top Clay Enterprise Partner while Clay's own directory places it at Advanced Artisan, the lowest tier it displays, and the published HQ splits between London on the site and New York on Clutch.
Pros
- 4.7 from 22 verified Clutch reviews, the third largest independent review base in this ranking
- Publishes buyer guidance telling prospects to ask who controls the Clay workspace, which is the right question for this category
- Names Elastic, Optimizely, Zendesk, Samsung and Adobe Commerce as clients
Cons
- The deliverable is booked meetings from outbound the agency runs, not a system the client is left owning
- Its Clay Enterprise Partner claim is contradicted by Clay's directory, which lists it at Advanced Artisan, the lowest of the three tiers shown
- HQ and team size disagree across sources: London on its own site against New York on Clutch, and 80 or more staff claimed against Clutch's 50-249 band
